Notice: Boil Water Advisory
PUBLIC NOTICE - PRECAUTIONARY BOIL WATER ADVISORY
The City of Mineral Point is issuing a precautionary boil water advisory following a loss of pressure in the City's water distribution system. The Wisconsin DNR has advised the City to issue this notice because a loss of water pressure could create the potential for bacteria to enter the water system.
𝐔𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐥 𝐟𝐮𝐫𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐞, residents and businesses served by the City's water system should:
🔹 Bring tap water to a rolling boil for at least ONE MINUTE before using it for drinking, cooking, food preparation or brushing teeth.
🔹 Use boiled or commercially bottled water for drinking, cooking, food preparation and brushing teeth, including making ice.
🔹 Avoid using unboiled tap water for dishwashing or other activities where water may be ingested.
The City is working with the DNR to complete the necessary water testing.
