Recently, the City of Mineral Point was made aware of a scam targeting residents and businesses.

The current scam is sending INVOICES pretending to be the City of Mineral Point. If you receive an invoice from the City and you were not expecting it or have concerns about its origin, please call City Hall at (608) 987-2361.

A few important items to help you identify potential scams:

• The City will not ask residents to wire transfer money.
• Emails from the City will end in @cityofmineralpointwi.gov. 
• The Mayor or Council members will not send you an invoice.
