In anticipation of another winter weather event next week the City of Mineral Point’s Streets Department will continue to work towards clearing snow from the streets and storm sewer grates. The City thanks everyone for their patience with cleaning up after the storms of last week.
Additional tips to help keep our streets safe and protect your property during winter weather events include:
- Clearing storm sewer grates will help ice and snow melt get off the street, avoiding ice buildups. Helping to keep any storm sewers clear in front of your property will help.
- Keep the area around Fire Hydrants clear.
- Give the plows as much room as you can. If possible, avoid using the streets that the plow trucks are currently on.
- Avoid parking on the streets, if possible.
