City Hall Temporarily Closed: Mineral Point City Hall will be temporarily closed to the public effective Thursday, March 19 at 9:00 a.m., with the exception of voting activities.   For voter registration, please call City Hall and we will email a form to you with instructions.   For Absentee voting, you may request a ballot at myvote.wi.gov or you may in person vote by appointment only, starting March 23rd.   All City departments will continue to provide essential services to residents while limiting in-person interaction in efforts to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Staff will be available to answer phones and respond to emails during the regularly scheduled hours of 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Most business can be conducted electronically via email at [email protected], [email protected], or by phone (608) 987-2361.   A drop box is also available outside City Hall to drop off utility payments, dog license applications, etc.   City officials are taking these steps as a precaution and for the health and safety of staff and the community. Voters Encouraged to Vote Absentee for April 7 Election

In light of the novel coronavirus pandemic and in an effort to flatten the curve, the polls will be open in the City of Mineral Point on Election Day, but we are encouraging residents to make sure you are a registered voter and to vote absentee for the April 7 election.

Please read this release for more information on how to register online and request an absentee ballot.  

Please note that the last day for online voter registration is Wednesday, March 18.  You can still register to vote in the clerk’s office at 137 High St., Ste 1, or vote absentee in-person starting Monday, March 23 – Friday, April 3.
